Love is the easiest thing in the world
My first ever collaboration with a photographer wasn’t as a model but as a writer. My part of the collaboration was to write a few short paragraphs on LOVE, LUST and DESIRE. The paragraphs on LOVE turned out longer, because once you start thinking about LOVE, who can stop? (Corny, but true!) Here’s what I wrote about LOVE:
Love comes to you. There is no right time or bad time for Love to make an entrance. You may know what Love is and what Love looks like, but you can’t put on your Sunday best and say: “Ok, Love, you can come in now.” But when Love comes, you know.
Of all the things, Love is the most unpredictable. Love comes and goes at whim. You can have it today or forever and wear it like a king wears purple, or you can lose it and then you’ll feel more miserable than a pauper.
Of all the things, Love is the most generous. Love gives you bliss in a kiss and eternity in a touch.
Of all the things, Love is the cruelest. Love will break your heart.
Of all the things, Love is the easiest thing in the world.
Here’s what I wrote about LUST:
Lust comes to those who want to touch and feel. Lust doesn’t care about giving without taking. Lust also doesn’t ask for more than it gives – lips press against lips to kiss, skin presses against skin to feel.
Of all the things, Lust is the hottest. Lust burns like fire. Lust also dies out like a fire.
Of all the things, Lust is the trickiest. Lust makes you believe you’ve died and gone to heaven.
Of all the things, Lust asks the most. “Abandon inhibitions all ye who enter here!”
Here’s what I wrote about DESIRE:
Desire dwells inside you. The deeper it hides, the stronger it grows. A strong desire won’t break your heart. A strong desire breaks taboos.
Of all the things, desire is the maddest. Desire can become obsession.
Of all the things, desire is the dreamiest. Desire comes alive in dreams.
Of all the things, desire is the most sensuous. Desire lives in a touch, a gaze, a kiss.
See you,
Misty
