Love makes the Earth go round and round

Last night ME and HE went for a walk.

ME: Help me make up a story on this walk. Give me a subject.
(We see a group of 7 people passing us on bikes.)
HE: 7 people on bikes, why are they biking? Are they doing it for pleasure?
ME: For pleasure. The question is, what is their pleasure? Why are they pedaling? Is the pedaling powering something maybe? Yes! Their pedaling is spinning the Earth; they’re the Earth’s engines. They’re the 7 spinners.
HE: What do they eat?
ME: Stellar winds.
HE: Would people try to stop them?
ME: Lots of people, but it’s very hard to find them, they just appear, one minute here, one minute in another part of the world, so finding them, or even predict where they’d show up is hard. Although not impossible.
HE: Do they die?
ME: They get replaced when the time comes.
HE: Who replaces them? Do you have to be special in any way?
ME: You have to have a bike, haha, and be at the right place and right time when Earth calls you. Ok, so here’s the story. Someone is after the spinners. A man. One of the 7 spinners is his girlfriend, so he travels the world trying to figure out where they’d appear. He’s in love with her, he wants to be with her, and he’s ready to stop the Earth from spinning to make that happen.
HE: How did she become one of the 7?
ME: The Earth called her when it was time, and she went.
HE: The Earth didn’t care that she was in love?
ME: The Earth doesn’t call you if you have something to lose. This is what the man’s going to find out in the end – this is his story – that she actually doesn’t love him, that she loves the Earth more. OUCH!

And that’s how a story was born!

See you,

Misty
